Improved sanitation has positive impacts on economic growth and poverty reduction. In this area, REEDS has successfully carried Total Sanitation Campaign at 55 Gram Panchayats [GPs] in Khammam District, Andhra Pradesh towards making them ‘Nirmal Gram’. Achievement of the prestigious national award ‘Nirmal Gram Pursakar 2008’ by 36 of 55 GPs is an indication of REEDS dedication and commitment to the cause.
