Niranjan and Sivakumar, the out going executive memebrs
New Members Hariprasad, Raghuram and Sunanda have been supporting the organization and its activities in many ways for the past few years. These individuals were evincing interest to become active members. AGB has consented to admit them as the members of the Society. I welcome them to the REEDS family and do expect more vigor to what we are doing already.
New Members Hariprasad, Raghuram and Sunanda Our Year Long Activities
It was indeed a matter of great satisfaction to all of us at REEDS when we were reviewing our year long activities at the AGB meeting. Our activities during the year have been in the areas of Safe Drinking Water; Community Awareness & Education; Evaluation Studies; and the most precious aspect, of course, has been organizing a prestigious international conference on ‘Life and Livelihood Skills Development’. You may have a look at the detailed Annual Report on our website.
International Cooperation in Skills Development
On this front, it is heartening to note that some of the deliberations among the international delegates at the recently concluded Asia Pacific International Educational Forum in Australia are evolving into possible cooperation among their respective organizations. This is an encouraging step forward in building up viable partnerships in VET sector in Asia Pacific.
Similarly, post APIEF and ACPET conference, we notice a very good deal of enthusiasm among many ACPET members to jointly explore and develop models that would be mutual benefit while addressing this very crucial and challenging Indian Vocational Training and Skills Development needs. We are continuing our engagement with ACPET to facilitate these expressions of interest actionable.
